Pete our Crows Nest Program Director, hails from Lighthouse Point, Florida (although he was born and raised just over in Ashtabula). He is an ASA instructor with a Captains license and over 35 years of sailing experience plus an additional 10 years of boating experience. Pete gets excited about his summers in Ohio and creating a positive camp experience for everyone involved.

Michelle
Michelle is from Novelty, Ohio and has been on the MHYC race team for five years. She works with the team in the mornings and teaches the beginners in the afternoon. She is 18 years old and will be racing next year at Hobart & William Smith College.

Suzy

Suzy
Suzy is from Kirtland Hills, Ohio and has been at sailing camp for the past 11 years. Last year she taught beginners in the afternoon. This year she will be teaching the beginning Opti sailors. In the fall, Suzy heads off to the College of Charleston.

Dick has been teaching beginners at MHYC for 8 years. Over 50 years of sailing experience has taught him that every day, and every boat, is different and unique. He's found sailing to be both an intellectual, as well as physical, sport and loves teaching sailing to the kids at MHYC.

Lee
Lee grew up in Mentor and has seen Crows Nest from the camper's perspective for a long time. This is his second year coaching the Race Team after being on it for 5 years himself. Lee also sails in collegiate competitions for Hobart & William Smith College, where he is a sophomore.
