Mentor Harbor’s Power Fleet offers a wide range of activities throughout the year. We begin with several winter get togethers to renew old friendships. The summer activities encompass cruises to various Great Lakes destinations. They run from three days up to a week. Several other events highlight our calendar, such as the Commodore’s Review in July. We complete our season with an awards banquet and annual meeting.
Cruising Fleet takes members, both sailors and power boaters, to fabulous ports of call. Off the water, the fleet enjoys cookouts, clambakes, cocktail hours, and traveling together during the off season.
If competition is what drives you, the Sail Race Fleet offers a multitude of racing options. In addition to hosting major events such as Mentor Regatta, Falcon Cup/Sundance, Indigo, and other sailboat competitions, the Sail Race Fleet competes On Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day weekend with special racing events. A mere glimpse of the hardware displayed in the Clubhouse shows how many of our sailors have brought home highest honors.
When the boats are finally pulled out of the water, a full slate of winter events keeps the momentum and camaraderie going for all fleets until they return to the water in the spring.
